Backcountry Table is a new three-day camping festival celebrating outdoor cooking, adventure, and community.
Its inaugural event will take place from September 11–13, 2026, at Whitewater Mountain Resort near Nelson, BC.
Created for campers, hikers, overlanders, cyclists, and food lovers, the weekend invites guests to camp on-site, prepare their own meals, learn from experienced outdoor cooks, chefs, and storytellers, and connect around shared tables and campfires.
The program includes hands-on camp cooking workshops, live demonstrations, storytelling sessions, coffee roasting, craft beer talks, community meals, and fireside conversations. Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a Storytelling Competition and Camp Cooking Competition, with outdoor gear prizes available throughout the weekend.
